Morning Light
Water Soluble Oil on Canvas
11” × 14”
Every day, I saw the same people, buildings, and muted colors—painting was my chance to see something else, something more alive. Most of my work reflects my inner world, often subdued by circumstance, but Morning Light was a conscious shift. I chose to paint something truly beautiful: the rising sun. It was a way to remind myself that light still exists, even if I couldn’t always see it. As the sun lifts in this painting, I imagine myself rising too—toward freedom, toward the version of me I’ve fought to become.
** Please note: All canvas works are unstretched and without frame. Images are here so you can get an idea of painting size and possible ways to display in your home.
